Polyurethane Wheel

Firmly bonded to precision machined cast iron cores offer low rolling resistance, smooth & noiseless running, are non-marking and floor protective. These wheels possess high abrasion & cut resistance and are resistant to tearing. Suitable for medium to heavy duty usage. Also comes in a range of different colors.

Wheel Bearing Options: Sealed precision ball bearings, tapered roller bearings or roller bearings.

Temperature range : -20° C to +85° C..

Load Range : 300KGs - 12,000KGs

Cast Iron Wheel

Wheels are manufactured from Cast Iron.

Grey Cast Iron is a casting alloy, iron and carbon based, with the carbon being present in the form of lamellar graphite (flake graphite) particles.

Cast Iron wheels combine strength and shock resistance with long life and economy. They have low tractive resistance values coupled with high load capacities.

Being metallic they withstand the extremes of temperature that would destroy plastic tyred wheels having an effective temperature range of -100°C to +300°C (depending on bearing & grease options).Cast iron wheels can cause floor wear and noise levels that are unacceptable.

Wheels have a machined crowned -tread, concentric with the bearing bore.

The wheels are protected against the environment by a coat of clear resin shellac.

Wheels have been designed to be used on rails, where often a grooved wheel is paired with a flanged wheel.

The cast iron wheel series can be fitted with alternative bearing types including plain bearing, roller bearing and ball journal types.

Vulkollan

Vulkollan® and have a high tear strength, exceptional abrasion resistance and up to ten times the life of equivalent rubber tyred wheels under similar conditions and load.

Load capacities are up to three times that of similar rubber wheels, enabling the use of a smaller diameter wheel if required.
Vulkollan® tyred wheels also offer excellent recovery from long periods of heavy static loading combined with low rolling resistance and floor saving.

The wheels are resistant to a wide range of oils, greases and chemicals, but sensitive to hydrolysing agents such as hot water, steam and hot moist air, strong acids and alcohols. A special grade of polyurethane tyre has therefoe been developed for use in humid conditions without effecting the load rating.

Cast Nylon Wheel

Standard finish: White
Effective temperature range: -20°C to +80°C
(+5°C to +40°C is preferred)

Cast Nylon wheel are machined from mild steel billets, and are fitted with either ball journal bearings or taper roller bearing types.

These wheels possess exceptional strength, shock resistance and long life. They are ideal where extremely high static and dynamic load applications are required.

Natural Cast Nylon is generally accepted as the primary engineering polymer. Cast Nylon is produced by a casting process and compared to injection moulded and extrusion grades of polyamides, stands out with its improved mechanical, thermal and chemical resistance properties. Specifically cast nylon has a higher tensile compressive and impact strength as well as improved resistance to creep and heat ageing.

These wheels are oil resistant and maintenance free. Being metallic they withstand the extremes of temperature that would destroy plastic tyred wheels having an effective temperature range of -100°C to +300°C (depending on bearing & grease options).

Steel wheels have a very hard tread and combined with the very high loads can cause floor wear and noise levels that are unacceptable.
